A now-deleted employee record suggests Rockstar is preparing Grand Theft Auto V for a fall 2012 release. The anticipated date was spotted by reporter Dave Oshry on a resume belonging to Rockstar North character animator Alex O'Dwyer, who listed the game as arriving in October 2012.
The resume has since been taken down, however Joystiq managed to grab a screenshot of O'Dwyer's document:
A scan of O'Dwyer's LinkedIn account confirms he is indeed involved in GTA V, which is being developed at Rockstar's UK office. The fact the original CV is nowhere to been is suspect, however Rockstar has yet add its official comments to the mix. Perhaps the team is waiting for a certain electronic gaming expo...?
If GTA V does arrive this October, that will put it in the same launch window as Assassin's Creed III, BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, and who knows what else has yet to be announced for the holiday season. But hey, what are the holidays without a little healthy competition?
