Battlefield 4's multiplayer alpha appears to be handily detailed in an ample round of screenshots posted to Reddit. The images from the Xbox 360 version show the game in sort-of action, with a refreshed loadout system and battlefield interface on display.
Five-man squads appear to be in place, which may go along with the game's revitalized command focus. The one map depicted across the shots is called Siege and appears to take place in Shanghai--maybe this will be one of the China Rising maps?
The alpha sports a revamped loadout system with new and returning firearms. Customizable attachments and other gadgets will figure in heavily, and it looks like even sidearms and knives can be kitted out this time around.
Customization options may be bolstered through Battlepacks, randomized treasure troves of goods much like Mass Effect 3's multiplayer gear packs. Potential loot includes XP boosts, new knives, attachments, camouflage patterns, weapon paint, and customized dog tags.
Battlepacks can be earned through play, but it stands to reason--again, like Mass Effect 3--that players will be able to purchase them with cash, as well.
