Saints Row IV box art destroys D.C. Previous Next Previous Next Regular edition

In Saints Row IV's newly revealed box art, these gang colors don't run. The open-world game casts players as the President of the United States and its packaging reflects its executive office. By "reflects its executive office" we mean blows up the Oval Office and half of Washington D.C.

We can see Shaundi and Kinzie behind the Boss in Chief, and a mutant Saints Flow mascot exacting its revenge on the Washington Monument in the normal box art above. Commander in Chief edition

And in the pre-order-only Commander in Chief edition we can see (through the Presidential Aviators) the same Mascot giving Capitol Hill what-for, and one of the game's alien invaders blasting away in our general direction.

Saints Row IV will hit on August 20 in the U.S. and August 23 in the U.K, for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Keep going with these great galleries GamesRadar Photoshop Mash-up #2 - Games meet... I'll be honest, gameplay wise (I spite myself for saying this) looks pretty fun. Although I wish they wouldn't slap the Saint's Row title onto this, SR now isn't as grounded as SR1/2. SR2 had the perfect blend of wacky and silly (Carlos' death/2 friends on a bike exploiting a glitch to ride up walls) which made it work perfect. Saint's Row 3 was fun for the first play-through (I did a 100%) but after that I couldn't find interest in the game anymore. Steel Port is so dull compared to Steel Port, but oh well. I might just be complaining because I still wanted a squeal that stars Dex as the antagonist and now come cancelled arcade game. But I will give this game props for having Ben King in it, he's definitely one of my favorite characters in the series. I know it's not that big of a surprise, but should still tag that as a spoiler for people that hasn't played the second game yet.Anyways, everything you said I entirely agree, it's spot on, if you meant that Steelport is dull compared to Stillwater. I can recall playing SR2 over and over after completion, and the online was pretty fun too. I don't really remember hopping back on the third after 100%'ing it, and to be honest, I didn't even bother to try the 4 player coop thing. Reply Report

Captain_eff - 13 hours, 36 minutes ago

Yea I meant Stillport was duller than Stillwater, my bad. I still play SR2 to this day after beating it multiple times, and what do you mean 4 player co-op?The whored mode? Isn't that only 2 players? Reply Report

Sliet - 5 hours ago

You're right, I mixed it up with the playable characters for the mode! Reply Report

Krieg's inner voice speaks in this Borderlands 2 trailer

What's going on in the mind of Krieg, the juiced up Psycho who joined Borderlands 2's cast of vault hunters earlier this month? A lot, as this trailer reveals, but it isn't quite enough to squeak by his endless bloodlust and non sequitur declarations.

Is Krieg's inner voice a tragic metaphor for the player's desire to interact with the world of Pandora in meaningful ways, constrained by actions limited to "shoot" and "use?" Sure, why not, either way the character still costs $10.

Also, Borderlands 2 players will get one last hurrah of shooting and using when the D&D-themed Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep launches on June 25. It's the final piece of the $30 season pass, and will also be available for $10 on its own.

Crysis 3 DLC takes players to The Lost Island

Crytek will release the first Crysis 3 DLC next week in the form of multiplayer pack The Lost Island. Boasting four new maps, two extra game modes and additional weapons, the DLC shifts the focus from the main game's New York City Liberty Dome setting to a small island in the Philippines 200 miles from Ling Shan, which played home to 2007’s Crysis and the following year’s Crysis Warhead.

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said: "The gameplay in the Crysis series has always been deeply connected to the unique environments in which the action takes place. We're not only returning to Crysis' spiritual roots, but also introducing fresh ways to play that provide Crysis 3 fans with genuinely game-changing new tactical options, game modes and weapons."

Available from Tuesday June 4, The Lost Island DLC will be priced at 1200 MSP (£10.28 / $14.40 / $15) on Xbox 360 and at $14.99 on PS3 and PC. Prior to the add-on pack’s official announcement, Xbox360Achievements reported that the DLC will introduce ten new Achievements, allowing players to boost their Gamerscore by 250.

If you’ve yet to read it, we said in our Crysis 3 review: “While not treading new ground for the FPS genre, Crysis 3 is a solid shooter that will keep you entertained through the campaign and long after with its addictive online modes.”

Capcom has announced a later than expected Monster Hunter 4 release date of September 14 in Japan, the game having previously been delayed from a March 2013 launch to this summer "based on the decision that further quality enhancements are needed in order to meet the expectations and wishes of users".

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed the new release date for the 3DS exclusive during a Nintendo Direct broadcast today, during which footage of the title was shown and two Monster Hunter 4 hardware bundles were revealed. Capcom has yet to confirm plans to release the game in the west, although perhaps we’ll get some news on that front at E3 next month.

Today’s Nintendo Direct also offered a fresh look at fellow Capcom 3DS game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, or Ace Attorney 5 as it’s known in Japan, where it's set for release on July 25. It will launch in the west this autumn in digital form only.

If you are not being sarcastic, then I completely agree. My friend got the game and we played it, and we had no clue what we were doing. Not only that, it just was boring. Maybe we're missing something huge, but, so far, I am far from impressed. Reply Report

J-Fid - 19 hours, 19 minutes ago

No, it's the full Wii U game. So far, all we have done is go on collection missions. We've played for a few hours, I guess we have to keep going (though I'm low on patience with this game). Reply Report

--do all the 1 star missions--then do all the 2 star missions--if you aint diggin it by then--you probably shoulda tried it back in 2010 when it was a lil less dated--i never played it but always wanted to--its a great game to play with friends--alone is kinda dull Reply Report

CamelToe's not shitting you, MH is a game that you just need to get into once (3 star is where it gets into you) for it to stick with you. It might be the series with the longest tutorials I guess you could say, but when you get in the groove and start taking on actual monsters then it gets cray good. And if you play it online then it jumps from excellent to amazing, it is one of maybe 3 games that I can instantly say I like the multiplayer for. I guarantee nobody enjoys the 1-2 star, it's like a rite of passage for every one of the games. Reply Report

Why MonHun has been exclusive since before the Vita was out, and MonHun 4 was announced at that point? if you bought a Vita expecting to play it, you should have done your homework first. Lastly if you just buy a 3DS and a Vita you don't have to worry about exclusives . Reply Report

How was I supposed to know Capcom would jump ship xD ?Anyway, I only really use my PSP for music and internet, and do ma gaming on a console.....But I suppose your right, Monhan 4 is just too juicy a booty for me to let stroll by! Wait Nintendo actually made a specific third party focused Nintendo direct? That's pretty awesome actually. As far as Monster Hunter 4 goes, there's apparently a new threat that outright revives the monsters you just killer. That's gonna be a pain for veterans.July 25 for Ace Attorney in Japan? Neat, let's just hope we get it soon before I get spoiled, like AAI 2. Reply Report

Hopefully the success of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will persuade Capcom that we actually give a damn about the series over in the west.. >.>. Sure it's not the biggest series over here but it's growing slowly but surely. Also yay for more Phoenix Wright :D Reply Report

Talvari - May 31, 2013 6:52 a.m.

Also MH4 looks amazing based on the stuff seen on the past and pretty much confirmed for me in that direct video. The monster shown at the end i'm assuming is gonna be the new elder dragon. HYPE! Reply Report
