Walking Dead Episode 1 sells a million copies

Spreading like an extremely fun zombie virus, the Walking Dead episodic adventure game from Telltale has now infected over one million gamers since its launch on April 25.

Titled "A New Day" the first episode of The Walking Dead was reportedly the number one selling title on Xbox Live for two straight weeks. Until - we assume - Trials Evolution and Minecraft came along and stole our hearts.

Telltale also said that the game has been their fastest selling title ever. Which is great news for Telltale considering they haven't even launched the iOS version yet which will be coming this Summer, and is destined to be a big seller.

"A New Day" is just the first of five episodes that are being planned for episodic release. It costs $4.99 (or 400 MSP) and is available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Lets hope for Telltale that fans are infected and will come shambling back for more in the coming episodes.

Respawn Entertainment will be at E3, but their first game won’t be

Respawn Entertainment, the development supergroup formed by ex-Infinity Ward executives, will be at E3 this year. Their mystery sci-fi shooter project, however, won’t be. Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe told Joystiq, "some of us will be present at E3, but we won't be showing anything or doing any press related to the game."

Is Respawn just going to check out the competition? Or to look for more high profile talent to add to their project? Either way, we’ll have to keep squinting at the same blurry screenshots and mo-cap sessions until they let loose some details. Whatever the project, Respawn’s tight-lipped buzz building technique is working. We’re excited for some actual details!

This story given you a hankering for more E3-based semi-information? Click over to our E3 2012 rumors compendium. It's being updated with each and every new story from now until the show.

Borderlands 2 special editions revealed, includes epic $150 loot chest

With the release of Borderlands 2 fast approaching, 2K Games dropped us a line to show off their newly-announced special edition packages for Borderlands 2. Most people will opt for the vanilla box-disc-manual version of Borderlands 2, but fans of stuff are going to flip out on the $150 mega package.

In addition to the regular version of Borderlands (game only), fans will also have access to the Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition which features: Borderlands 2, a Marcus Kincaid bobblehead (he's the weapons dealer in the first game), a Borderlands 2 hardcover art book, sticker set, a map of Pandora, digital comic download, and a voucher for a DLC pack.

That's just the middle class version. The high-society version of Borderlands 2 costs $149.99 and has been dubbed the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. This behemoth comes with all of the items listed above, plus a replica of Borderlands' in-game loot chests, steel game case, a "Creatures of Pandora" ID chart, postcard set, "field notes from Sir Hammerlock; a cloth map of Pandora, and a numbered certificate of authenticity (ooo, fancy!).

But they're not done yet! In addition to this mega-load of loot, there are also pre-order bonuses. Pre-ordering any version of Borderlands 2 includes access to Borderlands 2 Premiere Club which includes a DLC pack of weapons, a Golden Key (used to unlock special items), the Vault Hunter's relic, and an all-new character class called the Mechromancer.

Borderlands 2 is due on store shelves on September 18 on 360, PS3, and PC. It will probably be awesome.

Call of Duty lawsuit between Activision and EA settled, West and Zampalla case heats up

We’re not sure how much you’ve been keeping up with it to date, but there was a big update today in the legal battle over Call of Duty. After some back and forth between industry giants Activision and EA for more than a year, the two settled their legal dispute today. However, the bigger case between Activision and the former Infinity Ward bosses continues.

http://www.gamesradar.com/call-duty-lawsuit-between-activision-and-ea-settled-west-and-zampalla-case-continues/

Here’s some quick background: In 2010 Jason West and Vince Zampella, the heads of CoD dev Infinity Ward, left the company and parted with Activision on unfriendly terms to put it lightly. After the two were fired, they soon began a new studio (Respawn) that then made a publishing deal with EA. West and Zampella sued Activision for unfair dismissal, then Activision countersued EA, alleging that EA tried to hire West and Zampella while still under contract with Activision.

The details of today’s conclusion of the countersuit are a mystery and will probably remain so, as that’s how these things normally play out. “Activision and EA have agreed to put this matter behind them," was the only statement released by both sides. Meanwhile, the West and Zampella case continues, with new details hitting the web today alleging that Activision’s attempts to dig up dirt on their former employees. You’ll find more info on that here.

Diablo III

Entry Location:

In Diablo II when you got low on health you could just chug health potions like a sixth-year frat boy at a high school kegger. Not any more. Now there is a cooldown timer dictating how many potions a warrior can drink. But not to worry, health orbs are the cool new way all the kids are using to refill their health bar. You will still need to drink potions for a quick boost of health. Just hit the "Q" key to drink one, so you don't have to use your cursor.

Enemies will now drop health orbs and all you have to do is walk by them and pick them up. You can even equip armor that extends the range at which you pick up health and gold. When you pick up a health orb it also heals your pets, followers and allies. So everyone on your party will be sharing in the revitalizing goodness.

Your Stash is now shared between all of your characters in Diablo III. Now you can use your stash to mule weapons between each character. The change is a bit of a double-edged sword: though it is now easier to get items to characters that need them most, the shared item bank will fill up more quickly. You will only start off with 14 slots to store all your extra loot between all characters. It cost 10,000 gold each time to add 14 slots to the stash. You can have up to 5 tabs of bank with 70 slots per tab totaling a max stash size of 350 slots. But gold will not be stashable since it is also a shared resource between all your characters. Hardcore heroes will also have a separate shared stash than non-hardcore characters.

Crafting your own magical (or “blue”) items is a new addition to Diablo III. Early in the first act you will get the ability to break down blue items into their magical components and recombine those reagents into other magical items. So be sure to save all your blue items in Act I to break them down for crafting material.

This becomes a balancing act, however. If you break down too many items you won't have very much money. Also, if you spend too much money upgrading your crafter, you might not have the cash to pay them to make you the gear or expand your Stash.

So break down those blue items, just remember to sell them when you start hurting for gold.

If you ever see a treasure goblin, kill it! Kill it as fast as you can! These little misfits will run around the stage dropping bits of gold as they go. They drop some nice blue items when they die, but if you wait too long they will summon a portal and disappear forever.

One of the greatest advantages is checking the “Show Advanced Tooltips” option. It will show you exactly how much damage your spells do and how each of them works. It replaces a general statement like “Haunts an enemy with a spirit,” to “Haunts an enemy with a spirit, dealing 575 percent weapon damage as Arcane over 12 seconds.” It is really helpful and gives you exactly the information you need.

At a glance, Diablo III seems limited in terms of customization, but there's a fix. Go into the Gameplay section of the Options menu and click on Elective mode. It lets you map any spell you want to an open ability slot on your tool bar, no matter which category it falls into. They don't share cooldowns, either, so you can really go wild. It’s really useful for those who like to kill outside the lines.

Blizzard apologizes for Diablo 3 launch, delays auction house

At this point, most dedicated gaming fans have realized that it's a bad idea to expect you'll be able to play a major online game at launch. But nevertheless, the legions of fans and pre-order customers rushed to their computers on launch day to try to play with their friends. Unfortunately, that didn't go according to plan, and Diablo 3 was hit with several delays and server crashes.

Fans were extremely unhappy with the delay, and a roar rang out Tuesday and Wednesday on social networking sites like Twitter as well as the Diablo forums. Apparently Blizzard took those emotions to heart, because they have issued an official apology to their community.

"As many of you are aware, technical issues occurring within hours after the game's launch led to players experiencing error messages and difficulty logging in," reads the apology letter. "These issues cropped up again last night for the Americas and Europe servers. Despite very aggressive projections, our preparations for the launch of the game did not go far enough."

"We greatly appreciate everyone’s support, and we want to sincerely apologize for the difficulties many of you encountered on day one," the letter continues.

According to the letter, these difficulties have also caused Blizzard to delay the release of the much-reviled Real-Money Auction House. It was originally scheduled to launch on May 22, but has now been moved "beyond." There is no official word on when it will launch.

Unreal Engine 4 screenshots - A glimpse at the graphical future

Epic has just unveiled screens of Unreal Engine 4 to the general public, and they're pretty dang stunning. Judging from the screens above (some of which look like a billion wireframe spiderwebs), this engine could put in-game graphics at the same level as CG cinematics - and that's a prospect we're welcoming with open arms.

Wired's Stu Horvath got the inside look at UE4, chatting with Epic’s Tim Sweeney and the ever-popular Cliff Bleszinski about the technical aspects to their biggest project on the horizon. The changes coming with UE4 could very well shape what next-gen consoles will operate on – this kind of graphical power isn’t easily executed, to say the least.

While it might not be at the level of “real life” just yet (Sweeney states that the available hardware will need to be 2,000 times as powerful as it is now for that to happen), UE4 is a massive leap forward for particle effects and environment rendering. Those lava embers and “evil eye” beams you see in the above stills would cripple current engines, but UE4’s capable of generating millions of these light particles without a performance hit.

The lightning tech magic doesn’t end there – instead of the “pre-rendered” light sources of the past, which devopers had to hand-place in each level, UE4 enables “dynamic lightning.” Essentially, this feature will make light sources “aware” of their surroundings: light will bounce off reflective surfaces, water will correctly refract your vision, and shadows will be generated in real-time instead of requiring individual placement. It also removes “bake time,” which is the duration current engines need to process and parse through light sources before it could render them in-game.

UE4 will bring with it Kismet 2, the enhanced version of Unreal Engine 3’s graphics scripting tool. This tool will make programming even easier for novices and more robust for experts – instead of constructing lines upon lines of complicated code, the interface lets you manipulate visual elements using simplified drop-down menus. Now level designers should be able to hand-craft their own visions, instead of relying on programmers to correctly interpret their ideas.

We’re already chomping at the bit to see the UE4 engine in motion, and trying to visualize games using this technology is like candy to the imagination. We’ll have to wait until E3 to see more of UE4, but Horvath summed up his predictions for the engine’s debut nicely: “Fanboys will wet their pants, contrarian analysts will wring their hands, [and] message boards will explode in either fury or collective orgasm…Epic has redefined gaming before, and with Unreal 4 the company is doing it again.”

Double Fine now accepting PayPal donations, releases documentary episode

Double Fine, the studio owned by video game legend Tim Schafer, announced today that they will be continuing to accept donations even after their highly-publicized Kickstarter campaign has come and gone.

On top of that, they've also released the first episode in the documentary series that will accompany the game (and is also one of the perks for Kickstarter backers.) So if you want to get in early and throw your money at Double Fine, there's still time!

If you're still undecided, check out the first episode of the documentary series below.

We're not sure if there's anybody else left out there who missed the huge Kickstarter though. That said, after seeing the awesome quality of the documentary footage, we wouldn't be surprised to see general gaming fans tossing in a few dollars just to see the video series.

Diablo III error 37 causing a great wailing and gnashing of teeth as players worldwide fail to log in. The solution? Wait a bit

A big, online-enabled game having server issues on day one should by now be about as surprising as when an in-depth scientific analysis of a piece of cheese reveals it be be made of cheese. Diablo III? Pretty bloody massive game. Server issues almost guaranteed. What's galling in this case though is that the log-in failures currently being suffered by a large number of aspiring players block the single-player game as well as multiplayer. Yay online authentication.

Oh, and did I mention that there seems to be no queuing system, so repeated attempts to sneak into the just-vacated gap left by another player require manual password entry each and every time? Look on the bright side. You'll be able to Ctrl+V faster than any mere mortal can possibly envision by the time this is over. Seriously, your non-Diablo-playing office colleagues will be in awe.

Above: The horror...

Blizzard's current response? A post on the official forum currently speaketh thusly:

"Due to high concurrency the login servers are currently at full capacity. This may cause delays in the login process, account pages and web services.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while this is being resolved"

So, solutions? Higher server capacity or a queuing system would seem to be the obvious approaches. Other than that, it's just a case of keeping on trying until you get in, or waiting until server traffic settles down into a normal routine. It seems that this isn't a vastly complicated problem at the moment, just a simple case of the hardware not being able to take the strain of the entire world simultaneously trying to log into a sequel it has been anticipating for over a decade.

Still, consider the online DRM arguement well-and-truly cracked open once again. Can of worms, ACTIVATE!

Want some tasty minute-to-minute action while you wait to get logged in? The lovely Tom Francis over at PC Gamer is posting his Diablo 3 review as it happens.

Sniper Elite V2 achievement guide

Think you have the chops to be a sniper of the elite variety? Earning these achievements and trophies is a good way to show it! Many of the achievements and trophies found are dependent on your ability to perform some fancy shooting, as well as taking out enemies in crafty ways. There are some that are a little tougher than others, but we’ve broken down each and every one to help you acquire every last trophy and gamer point. Below, we’ve added videos to help show you the paths to follow for the more problematic ones. So grab your rifle, find a comfy ledge, and let’s get to it!

20 Points/Bronze Trophy

Destroy the V2 Facility and escape to safety

This is story related and you will receive it at the end of the third mission, Mittelwerk Facility.

20 Points/Bronze Trophy

Resuscitate your partner in co-op 10 times

When you are playing co-op with your partner, you need to give them a pick-me-up ten times. Each time your partner drops, you will have a limited amount of time to get to their position and get them back on their feet. An easy way to do this is to have your partner walk through a patch of fire until they drop. Then bring them back and repeat over and over until this pops.

20 Points/Bronze Trophy

Survive 10 Games of bombing run

Just as the description says, simply survive 10 matches of the Bombing Run mode on any or all the maps and this is yours.

20 Points/Silver Trophy

Complete all co-op Overwatch Missions

There are three Overwatch co-op missions that need to be completed to get this achievement/trophy. Once you and your partner have completed Kreuzberg HQ, Opernplatz, and Schoneberg Streets, this will unlock.

http://www.gamesradar.com/sniper-elite-v2-achievement-guide/20 Points/Bronze Trophy

Snipe a grenade on an enemy's webbing from 100m

To nab this, you’ll need to snipe a grenade that is hanging on an enemy’s belt. You’ll also need to make sure that the enemy is over 100 meters away. When you have a distant enemy scoped, look for the round grenade just below his belt. Not all enemies will have them, so you’ll need to keep your eyes open for them.

http://www.gamesradar.com/sniper-elite-v2-achievement-guide/10 Points/Bronze Trophy

Snipe an enemy through his eye

When you tag an enemy through his eye, you’ll know that you have hit it bang on as you’ll see his eyeballs during the x-ray kill-cam. Usually head shots right in the face will land a shot through the eye without much trouble. There is also no distance requirement, so any close enemy can be shot through his eye as well.

20 Points/Silver Trophy

Career total of 50 shots on explosives

Any object or vehicle that has the red cap on it can be shot to go towards this achievement/trophy. Missiles, rockets, tanks, trucks, fuel tanks, and so forth, will all count. Even the V2 rocket itself counts.

Battlefield 3 premium service may be coming says report

Rumors are circulating today that EA might be prepping to make an announcement regarding a premium subscription service for Battlefield 3 that might mimic Activision's success with Call of Duty Elite.

Battlefieldo is reporting information they say comes from a confidential but trustworthy source, it also came with a few other bits of information, including a March 2013 release window for an as-yet unnanounced fifth DLC pack after the "End Game" pack.

"Battlefield™ Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else," says the report. "First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options."

We currently don't know for sure whether the information is accurate, however they've pegged June 4th as the date for the announcement. So we'll find out at E3 whether this report will come true.

Tomb Raider release date delayed

Eidos announced on their community forums today that they have decided to keep Tomb Raider in the incubator until an undetermined time in the first quarter of 2013. It was originally scheduled for release in Fall 2012.

"We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve," said Darrell Gallagher, head of Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics. "We believe this is the right choice and I guarantee it will be worth the wait. The game is looking amazing and we can't wait to show it to everyone at E3 in a few weeks."

As mega-behemoth releases have turned into annual best-sellers (Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed) it's no surprise to see game makers fleeing those months entirely. These days there's home for maybe two or three other games in those months, but not much else. And with the departure of Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider, we're hoping this could mean greater success for less-well-known (but no less interesting) games like Dishonored, similar to the success of Borderlands in 2009.

Ultimately, this move should be great for everyone involved. The gamers get a big title to look forward to in the - ordinarily barren - first quarter of the year, Crystal Dynamics gets a chance to polish its baby, Eidos gets a better chance to make a profit, and the 2012 holiday gaming season gets more breathing room. Not to mention the game will be even better. Nobody loses here.

South Park: The Game delayed to 2013

THQ announced today that they have chosen to delay South Park: The Game into 2013, though they offered no explanation for why the title was pushed back.

It is now scheduled to hit store shelves sometime between January 1 and March 31 in THQ's fourth fiscal quarter. Beyond that, no clarification has been provided.

It's been more than a rough year for THQ. Things started off with a bang when it was rumored THQ had canceled their entire 2014 lineup of games. Then came 170 layoffs which sparked a fundamental restructuring of Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium and a delay of Darksiders 2. So far, for the rest of 2012, the only game THQ has scheduled is their annual WWE licensed wrestling game.

Activision pays out $42 million, Infinity Ward Employee Group says they owe more

In a move that lawyers called "cynical," Activision sent out a payment of $42 million today to the group of former Infinity Ward employees that are alleging Activision skipped the bill on Modern Warfare 2 employee royalties.

"I can confirm for you that it happened today," a lawyer for the Infinity War Employees Group said to Polygon. "I can also tell you that although it is a meaningful payment, it is only a small portion of what we are seeking in litigation. It is outrageous that they made us wait, they obviously knew they owed the money and this just shows that they breached the contract."

For Activision's part, they're saying the payment has nothing to do with the law suit, and that this is natural process of their "discovery phase." The Infinity Ward Employee Group's lawyer called it a ""cynical attempt to look good before the jury trial."

When this issue first flared up in 2010, G4 reported that the Infinity Ward group was seeking between $75 million to $125 million in unpaid royalties as well as $75 to $500 million in punitive damages. Should they win, the loot will be divided (unevenly) between 40 plaintiffs.

So depending on how the trial goes (two weeks from now,) Activision could owe quite a bit more scratch. Though these things tend to get appealed and dragged through the courts for years. This is likely still just the beginning of a much longer story.

CD Projekt Red hiring for "RPG in Brand New Setting"

It looks like CD Projekt Red, the highly lauded Polish developer of The Witcher 2, is looking to expand in light of their new found success. Their website now has an entire category of their job listings page devoted to an "RPG in a brand new setting."

The listings are pretty standard for any project - environmental artist, gameplay designer, quest designer, animator etc - so it's difficult to glean any information from those listings. However, given that the "RPG in a brand new setting" stands alongside another category called "RPG in a dark fantasy world," makes us think CD Projekt Red is beginning work on a non-Witcher-related project...as well as a Witcher 2-related project.

We wont know anything until the developer decides to make an official announcement, but as always, we'll be looking forward to E3 for a potential announcement. Last year the developer had a fairly large presence at the show, so we wouldn't be surprised to see them make another announcement now that The Witcher 2's Xbox 360 version is out in the wild.

Blizzard DOTA becomes Blizzard All-Stars amid copyright dispute with Valve

We just received word from Blizzard that an agreement has been reached in the high-profile copyright dispute between Blizzard and Valve, who both have upcoming games with the acronym "DOTA" in it.

The acronym stands for Defense of the Ancients, a mod that was created for Warcraft III and was based on a map called Aeon of Strife in the original StarCraft. Somewhat by chance, both Blizzard and Valve announced new games in the same genre which utilized the DOTA name.

Blizzard claimed ownership over the name because it was developed as a mod for one of their games. Valve claimed ownership because the creator of the mod now works for Valve on DOTA 2.

Though the terms of the agreement weren't made available, we're told Blizzard will be changing the name of their game to Blizzard All-Stars while Valve will retain the name DOTA 2.

"Both Blizzard and Valve recognize that, at the end of the day, players just want to be able to play the games they're looking forward to, so we're happy to come to an agreement that helps both of us stay focused on that," said Rob Pardo, executive vice president of game design at Blizzard Entertainment. "As part of this agreement, we're going to be changing the name of Blizzard DOTA to Blizzard All-Stars, which ultimately better reflects the design of our game. We look forward to going into more detail on that at a later date."

The pack will include all-new multiplayer, survival, and special ops missions, and will also feature the debut of the new small-scale multiplayer mode, Face Off. Revealed yesterday, the new mode pits players against each other in 1v1 or 2v2 matches with maps specially designed to leverage the small amount of players. The pack will include two maps just for Face-Off.

The other new maps include three new multiplayer maps called Sanctuary, Foundation, and Oasis. As well as two spec ops missions called Iron Clad and Switch Back. There will also be two additional Face Off maps made available for free (on the 15th for premium members and the 16th for the general masses) called Aground and Erosion.

All of this content will be coming to Xbox Live first, hitting other platforms at an unspecified later date.

Call of Duty has 40 million monthly users

In their financial results for the first quarter of 2012, Activision took the opportunity to tout some seriously impressive numbers about their most popular series. Not only is Call of Duty still kicking some serious tush online, but Skylanders is growing as well.

“Through March 31 , players have logged more than 1.6 billion hours of online gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," said Activision CEO Bobby Kotick in a statement recorded by VG247. "And for the quarter in North America and Europe, including the accessory packs and figures, Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures was the #3 best-selling game overall in dollars across all platforms."

He also added that the Call of Duty series is still played (at least monthly) by 40 million users. On top of that, there are 10 million subscribers to Call of Duty Elite, 2 million of which are premium annual members.

They also added that the kid-phenomenon, Skylanders has continued to grow, and they expect it to soon top Star Wars as the number one toy franchise.

Furthermore, they added that they have bolstered Battle.net, and that World of Warcraft subscriptions have stabilized following the exodus in the wake of the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. They're also expecting another subscription boost when the Mists of Pandaria expansion launches.

“On May 15 Blizzard Entertainment will release the highly anticipated Diablo III and we are proud to report that pre-orders for the game worldwide have set a new record for Blizzard," Kotick said. "For the remainder of 2012 and beyond, our product pipeline includes some of the most innovative games we have ever developed for our established franchises, including Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and all new MMORPG game, as well as Activision Publishing ‘s Skylander ‘s Giants, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and a new universe from Bungie."

Activision may be the evil empire these days, but wow, that's a seriously fantastic lineup of games. From Heart of the Swarm to Skylanders, they've got half a dozen #1 hits and even a few worldwide sensations.

Mass Effect 3 "Operation Silencer" multiplayer Bounty Weekend announced

Called "Operation Silencer," this latest Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event challenges players to take down 3 million banshees between the dates of May 11, and May 14 (Friday to Monday.)

If the community can rally to take down that colossal number then everyone will be rewarded with a Victory Pack, though what's inside was not specified.

There's also a secondary goal with its own potential reward. Bioware is also offering a "Commendation Pack" to any squad that manages a full extraction against any enemy on Gold difficulty.

They also took the opportunity to send over a few statistics about multiplayer so far in Mass Effect 3. Among them are the interesting tidbits that 22.84 million multiplayer matches have been played since the game went online. Of which, only 10.5 million were successful extractions, and only 3.5% of successful extractions were on Gold difficulty.

Dishonored release date changed

Though Bethesda had previously marked Dishonored with a release date in September, they announced today that they have reconsidered, and have re-fit Dishonored with a release two weeks later on October 9.

The speculation right now is that the release date was reconsidered after Take-Two opted to let development continue on BioShock Infinite until February 2013. Which opened up a big hole in October for an action-RPG, especially one like Dishonored which has so often been compared to BioShock.

Who knows, maybe Bethesda thinks they can pick up a few extra sales from people feeling sad that they can't have their BioShock Infinite in 2012. The move will also give them some extra space to stay away from the other big shooter-RPG of the season, Borderlands 2, arriving in mid-September.

Right now, rumors suggest Take-Two might be considering moving Grand Theft Auto 5 up into the October slot though, so let's hope Dishonored didn't dodge BioShock just to run headlong into an even bigger sales behemoth in GTA5.

“We are pleased that Dishonored has captured people’s attention,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “We are looking forward to sharing lots more information about the game leading up to its launch in October, and having a hands-on build of Dishonored in our booth at E3!”

We'll look forward to taking an updated look at the game at E3.

Sniper Elite V2 bottle guide

Throughout the campaign of Sniper Elite V2, there are 37 wine bottles scattered in some very deviously hidden places. For each bottle, you'll have to snipe it to collect the bottle, regular guns won't work. Since sniping is the only way to get these, they are often high up and far away.  Not only do their locations make things difficult, but for many of the bottles, shooting them will alert nearby guards.  When this does happen, simply reload the checkpoint and the bottle will still be considered shot, but the guards will go back to being unaware.  Below we have the location of each bottle as well as a video for each mission to sum up where exactly each can be found.  Good luck and good hunting!

Mission 1: Prologue

Mission 2: Schoneberg Convoy

Mission 3: Mittelwerk Facility

Mission 4: Kaiser-Friedrich Museum

Mission 5: Opernplatz

Mission 6: St. Olibartus Church

Mission 7: Tiegarten Flak Tower

Mission 8: Karlshorst Command Post

Mission 9: Kreuzberg Headquarters

Mission 10: Kopenick Launch Site

Mission 11: Brandenburg Gate

http://www.gamesradar.com/sniper-elite-v2-bottle-guide/1: This first bottle can be found across from the hotel, in the windows across the street on the second floor.

2: When you grab the charges and plant the first one across the street, look to the right and around the corner to see the bottle on top of the round sign to the right.

3: At the same spot as the previous bottle, there will be a sniper on the roof right above where you place the first charge.  The bottle will be beside him on the roof ledge.
